Yunnan Minority University

Wang Liwei visited Yunnan Minority University on 28 April 2018 to do a talk on career opportunities and to teach presentation skills.  The students took part in a public speaking competition and China Development Foundation acted as judges and gave the award. Wang Liwei had arranged the event with a University professor in Yunnan. Yunnan has 46 minority groups including Dai, Tibetan, Chinese Muslim and Bai. University fees for minority groups (e.g. non-Han) are lower than for Han students, but they often lack career opportunities on graduation. Wang is working with the university to find ways to bridge the gap between study and work for minority women.
