Dulwich College Teacher Training

Dulwich College has partnered with CDF over a number of years to deliver a one week residential teacher training program for twenty visiting teachers from western China.  Headmaster, Simon Herbert welcomes the teachers and introduces them to his staff who deliver a detailed curriculum.  We cover a range of topics.  Encouraging an interactive approach to teaching we conduct a mock debate including all the visiting teachers and introduce ways to make the classes more lively and participatory.  From the pictures you can see the class where everyone makes an image of themselves in clay and describes what makes them unique. We also arrange a series of superstars and politicians at a dinner table plan and learn how to manage diverse opinions in one room. The debating class covers a range of topics from teaching style to people's motivation for learning.
