JAMES LEE

Regional Director, Greater China, ICAEW

James Lee joined the ICAEW in December 2011 as Regional Director. He is also serving as Treasurer of China Britain Business Council/British Chamber in China.

James was previously the Managing Director of G4S in China, a global leader in international security solutions. James was educated at the Royal Military College in Malaysia, and served as an officer with the Royal Malaysian Air Force. James went on to university in London and qualified as an ICAEW Chartered Accountant (ACA) with Price Waterhouse (now PwC) and is a longstanding member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers (MCT). He holds an MBA from the Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia.

James has held several senior management roles with international companies in countries around the world, including the UK, New Zealand, Australia and China. He has presented papers on Financial Themes in Wellington, Singapore, HK, Shanghai, Beijing & delivered lectures on a wide variety of leadership, soft skills, accountancy, business, finance and career development topics at universities across China and the UK.
