Iain is head of the Financial
Sponsors Group in Asia Pacific and head of Investment Banking
Services (IBS) in Asia Ex-Japan (AEJ), based in Hong Kong. He is co-head of the Asia Pacific Black and Hispanic/Latino Network and is a member of the IBSLeadership Group. Iain joined Goldman Sachs in the Investment Banking Division in Tokyo as a managing director in 2006 and was named partner in 2014. Prior to joining the firm, Iain spent six years at Nikko Citigroup, where he ran Japanese Financial Sponsor Coverage. Earlier in his career, he worked for five years at SBC Warburg in the London and Tokyo Corporate Finance divisions.Iain earned a Diploma in Mandarin an Economics from the University of International Business and Economics inBeijing in 1991 and an MA, First Class with Distinction, in Japanese Studies from Trinity Hall College, Cambridge University, in 1995.
